This includes the responsibilities of strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting, pricing administration, financial planning and analysis. In partnership with executive leadership, the VP of Finance plays a critical role in driving the financial performance and long-term growth of the company. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
Provide strategic recommendations to the President and members of the executive management team.
Identify and manage business risks and opportunities.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics.
Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting.
Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
Operational Efficiency:
Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Optimize the company's financial operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee the financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensure timely financial reporting.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Oversee risk management and insurance activities.
Coordinate audits and tax preparations with external auditors and consultants.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
Monitor and manage the capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
Stakeholder/Corporate Communication:
Partner with and present financial reports to the executive team and corporate leadership.
Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to internal management and corporate leadership.
Interface with corporate representatives, global finance leadership, auditors, tax accountants, banking officials and all current and potential creditors to discuss financial position and issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, cost accounting, and financial management.
Proven track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software and systems, with strong Excel skills.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises supervisors/managers as well as some individual contributors in the Finance department. Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.
Working Conditions:
The VP of Finance works in an office environment but should be prepared to travel occasionally to company locations and attend meetings with stakeholders.
