Seasonal Full-time Bookkeeper / Office Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, August 1, 2019 May 31, 2019
Summer: June 1, 2018 July 31, 2018 - reduced hours (15-20 hours / week)
Health insurance, dental and vision coverage will be offered to sign up after 60 days of your employment.
7 days (56 Hours) paid time off and 24 hours sick paid time off during our fiscal year.
Position Overview:
Bookkeeper / Office Manager is responsible for assisting in finances and office administration of the Japanese Friendship Garden. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
o Assisting the Executive Director in coordinating the operational functions including scheduling and calendar management.
o Office and Administrative functions; mail, scanning, filing, invoice management and make bank deposits.
o Accounts Payable Processes A/P invoices and prepares payment for approval/signature.
o Accounts Receivable Records customer invoices in QuickBooks online.
o Process payroll through QuickBooks online.
o Responsible for handling petty cash
o Monitors procedures for record keeping
o Ensures security, integrity and confidentiality of data
o Assists the Executive Director where needed and maintains close communications
o Assist with monthly financial and statistical reports.
o Send out the donation acknowledgment letters
o Assist with special events monthly First Friday events and 4-5 special events throughout the season (Evenings and weekends are required)
Qualifications:
o Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience with a background in processing A/R & A/P.
o QuickBooks online experience preferred with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and 10-key by touch
o Must be detail oriented
