Overview:

Join our team in Hayden, AZ as a Metallurgical Lab & Process Technician! You’ll assist our Metallurgical Engineers in optimizing plant operations through sampling, testing, and supporting metallurgical and process control functions. Transportation assistance is provided for shifts from Mesa and Tucson.

Key Responsibilities:

-Collect, prepare, and document samples from concentrator streams for lab and chemical assays.

-Perform flotation testing, particle size analysis, and other metallurgical lab procedures.

-Operate, maintain, and calibrate lab and process equipment (OSA & PSM units, X-ray analyzers, particle size monitors, etc.).

-Provide technical support to operations, mill repair, and instrumentation/process control departments.

-Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.

-Monitor reagent and lime addition points and ensure proper delivery to process streams.

-Maintain clean and safe work areas; comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies.

-Report results to relevant departments and manage inventories and supplies through SAP.

-Support Hayden operations in safely unloading and managing acid for leaching operations.

Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical school in related field preferred.

-Minimum 2 years experience in mineral processing or metallurgical operations.

-Knowledge of metallurgical lab procedures, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to read electrical schematics and drawings.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

-Ability to safely handle chemicals and work around railroad crews.

-Willingness to take on diverse duties and support continuous improvement initiatives.

-Tools & Materials Used:

-Laboratory and mineral processing equipment, computers, hand tools, water/air hoses, and cleaning supplies.
