Agile Coach - Manager

As an Agile Coach - Manager you're focused on coaching and mentoring teams to adopt agile ways of working. Must have experience with modern product management discovery practices, product management, moving from project to product, engineering practices, outcome based planning and delivery(OKR), leading large, complex transformation engagements, communicating with c-suite leadership, delivering training at all levels of the organization, setting vision and aiding in leadership remove impediments. Must be able to influence leadership, drive business agility, design thinking, value stream mapping, identify opportunities to create standout products and sustain transformation. Must have hands on experience creating and delivering transformation roadmaps, training leadership and continuously offering customized solutions to catalyze value delivery.

Work you'll do

The Agile coach will work as the key change agent and servant leader to help teams embrace and mature in agile principles and practices.
  • Assess teams and organizational agile maturity
  • Assess state of DevOps across the organization
  • Develop transformation roadmaps that scale up rapidly
  • Establish governance and change management processes
  • Foster collaboration, communication, transparency using tools and accelerators
  • Deliver role-based training, workshops for leadership and enable employee engagement
  • Coach other scrum masters and junior coaches on best practices and guide them
  • Remove roadblocks and promote a culture that fosters problem solving, innovation, experimentation and focuses on value delivery
  • Manage and lead multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Drive alignment and coordination across multiple teams to optimize execution and communication
  • Build and sustain autonomous teams while aligning with enterprise goals
  • Utilize feedback and metrics to work with other coaches and scrum masters and focus on continuous improvement
  • Create change plans, validate adoption and verify performance
  • Apply lean change management principles
  • Map supply chain, legal and compliance related processes
  • Analyze value stream and identify waste that can be minimized or eliminated

Agile Coach - Managers are required to have:
  • 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience managing and delivering large scale custom development or systems integration projects using Agile delivery methodology
  • 4+ years of experience working as a product owner, scrum master, agile team facilitator
  • 2+ years of experience implementing various Agile practices (Scrum, SAFe, XP, Lean, Kanban, Nexus)
  • Experience with establishing center of excellence, governance, conducting organizational assessments, creating outcome-based plans and identifying ways to measure progress
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to create training artifacts
  • Ability to work well with people with varying technical and business abilities
  • Must be proficient with Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.) as well as with Internet research tools, presentation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc.
  • Agile Certification (SAFe, PMI ACP)
  • A willingness to travel 80-100% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now, or at any time in the future

In addition, successful Agile Coach - Managers will have the following preferred background:
  • Project Management Certification - PMP
  • Should have leadership experience in scaling agile at enterprise level
  • Experience participating in and facilitating discussions to discover solutions
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated experience exercising mature judgment in delicate situations
  • Experience in coaching and implementing best practices and standards related to Agile scrum development & testing practices
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Knowledge of IT Governance and Infrastructure, Application Development Lifecycle, Information Security Infrastructure, Compliance and regulatory requirements
  • An advanced degree in an area of specialization is a plus
