Work you'll do

This position is for Deloitte's Managed Threat Services team. The Cyber Threat research developer manages the development, implementation commercial and custom-made tools supporting the Threat Intelligence team. The developer will closely work with the threat intelligence team to assess the needs and any new development projects needed to drive more automation from a data perspective and daily tasks.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and participate in development, implementation, and maintenance of multiple commercial and/or custom tools and data sources that enable tracking of threat actors, campaigns, vulnerabilities and exploits, and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).
  • Oversee development of collection capabilities to include (but not limited to): spam traps, honeynet / intrusion monitoring, and malware sandboxes.
Integrate of data derived from these tools into accessible and usable platforms which facilitate intelligence research and analysis.

Develop custom code which helps to streamline intelligence analysis and production
  • Coordinate intelligence sharing programmatically with Deloitte security teams and externally with clients through Deloitte's Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP).
  • Promote industry leading practices through the design and mentorship of other technology teams and team-members.
  • Review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and objectivity.
  • Lead the team on proposals, whitepapers, proof of concepts, technical eminence materials and Firm initiatives.
  • Support and enable team members, mentoring junior professionals and develop resources.
  • Mature the ASM offering and the Firm's global delivery capacity.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in one or more of the following fields Intelligence Studies, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or any other related area
  • 2+ years of development experience

Additional Requirements:
  • Travel up to 25% (While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability.
  • Experience with engaging C-Level executives and developing cyber risk strategies to address broad security issues.
  • Experience with leading multiple distributed teams across different geographies.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:
  • Direct experience in designing, implementing and/or running an OT environment's vulnerability management program.
  • BA/BS Degree ideally in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Previous Consulting or Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Datatabase experience (mysql),ELK stack, Web programming, Cloud. ML/AI
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
