A major, international financial services company is looking for a Junior Backend Software Engineer to join their team in the Phoenix valley. You would be a part of a team that is responsible for developing the flagship consumer-facing mobile application that has over 50 different features, and many more in queue. In this role, you will be building the APIs that feed into the mobile app, as well as integrate it with hundreds of other applications both internally and externally. They are looking to hire someone with a strong Java or Kotlin background and experience developing high transaction APIs. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field
- 1+ years of professional software development experience
- Object-Oriented Programming with Java, Kotlin, or similar JVM language
- REST API development or modification experience
- Experience in an Agile environment
- Some exposure to QA and/or CI/CD tools
- Mobile development experience
- Consumer-facing application experience
- Microservices with Spring Boot
- AWS cloud
- Kotlin experience for API development
