Job Title: Software QA Manager

Job Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Type: Full Time / Perm / Direct Hire

Job Description:
  • Collaborate with other Directors of Software Engineering globally to establish software strategy.
  • Responsible for strengthening the team both in terms of resource capacity and capability.
  • Focus on capability development by cross-train team members.
  • Define software QA plans for the BUs and be responsible for generating a software roadmap.
  • Ensure high-quality software development with first-time-right and strongly collaborating with the software quality team.
  • Work with other Software Directors and managers.
  • Balance software project portfolio for maximum benefit to the company including the cost of ownership reductions, performance improvement, etc.
  • Drive standardization of software development practices including software development tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and KPI to improve the software development efficiency and quality.
  • Measure and maintain internal customer satisfaction.
  • Implement state-of-the-art QA processes to ensure/maintain SW quality.

Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or related degree +10 years of experience required or MS+ 10 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Experience in various technical leadership roles.
  • Strong QA processes, test automation, CI/CD, and coding background/experience.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership in all phases of the software development cycle.
  • Experience with scrum/agile software development methodology is preferred.
  • Proven experience in team building and people development.
  • Strong ownership for tasks at hand, pro-active leadership, customer (both internal and external) oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization and handle complexity in a fast-moving global environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and well-developed negotiation skills at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to define ambitious and realistic goals and establish priorities with clear responsibilities to ensure results.
  • Able to manage projects, activities, and resources effectively.
  • Ability to exhibit strong leadership to motivate and drive the organization for the change towards betterment.
