Seeking part-time independent contractor for our Food Recovery Program Coordinator position to help reduce food waste in the Quad Cities by working with farmers, grocery stores, restaurants, and facilities with central kitchens to rescue excess food, organize distribution to feed those experiencing hunger, feed animals, or find people to compost the waste.
Requires: familiarity with the local food system, outgoing person, interviewer, note taker and report preparation, community building, recruiting and coordinating volunteers and grant seeking.
Use of own car with mileage reimbursement and use of own computer (for reporting).
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Arizona Food Handlers Card preferred.
$15/hr. approx 15 hours per week.
