Requirements:
Previous experience in physical therapy and medical office setting preferred
Previous experience in customer service
Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to prioritize and multi-task
Great team player with a positive attitude
Medical terminology
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Responsible for providing specific treatment only as directed by the staff physical therapist.
Adhere to standards of physical medicine
Ability to monitor vital signs
Maintain adequate knowledge base regarding precautions for the patient undergoing physical medicine services and treatments
Communicate any changes in condition to staff physical therapist or other facility personnel as appropriate
Consult other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities
Order, stock, and maintain accurate records of adaptive equipment
Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family
Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly
Interact professionally with patients/family and involves them in the formation of the plan of care
Transport patients according to scheduled appointment time while maintaining compliance with safety policies during transport at all times
Prepare and clean treatment area for patient use. Perform final cleaning at close of day
Record treatment/service revisions in accordance with department policy
Demonstrate ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situation
Maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments
