Position can be remote but require some travel.

Complete List of Technical Skills:

  • JMeter

  • Grafana

  • Work with Product owners to build Non-Functional Requirements

  • Build Performance Engineering practice for all of client environment

  • Show people how/what to do

  • APM tools (set up, configure, use)

  • Performance Testing Tools like Elastic

  • Performance testing with backend test telemetry and analytics

  • Create cohesive testing approach from creation of User Story to Production

  • Establish Sanity thresholds

  • Work with Executives, Product Owners, Developers

    • The right candidate will: be able to help Identify a process and framework for validating performance, scalability, and uptime characteristics of our services, applications, and systems.

    - Assist in establishing clear responsibilities and guidelines for implementing a performance testing and analysis framework, including resolution paths when software issues are uncovered.

    - Integrate performance testing and analysis with existing software delivery automation and provide gating mechanisms where appropriate.

    - Provide for ease of maintenance of test artifacts to minimize required effort to keep tests up to date.

    - Integrate existing DevOps principles and SRE methodology when approaching performance engineering challenges

    The candidate must possess the skills and experience to accomplish, as part of the team, these Key task:

    - Conduct ongoing training of SRE group in performance concepts and k6 usage

    - Validate required components of performance test in the pipeline

    - Define guidelines for virtual user loads and duration of test based on pipeline stage

    - Set up simple, fully automated performance test in a service

    - Configure tags and monitors in Datadog to consume, store, alert on performance test results

    - Work with development teams to train, roll out, and test

    - Create auditing method to track performance test coverage

    - Ensure data integrity and scheduling options of RC environment for longer
