Job Title: : Cloud Engineer Manager-AzureLocation: Scottsdale, AZDuration:Long Term Contract
Job Description: As a DevOps Engineer, you are a product-minded, customer-focused, full-stack engineer who can help take ideas from prototype to launch. You propose, prototype, design and implement various core components of the platform in collaboration with teams. As a senior member of the team, you will provide the thought leadership and technical expertise needed to overcome hard problems. By now, you would have built and supported critical components of products/platforms at scale. You will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment that crosses multiple technology domains, business teams, and offices.• Serve as the primary technical architecture contact with clients and act as mentor or resource for colleagues with less experience• Drive re-architecture of existing systems to implement streamlined, well-performing, automated and scalable architectures• Design, document, and maintain architecture diagrams for systems, processes, and interfaces• Designs cost models and architecture solutions for technical projects/applications• Continuously evaluate architectures against emerging technology trends or business growth areas and target areas of opportunity to ensure performance and capacity exceed demand• Apply and integrate emerging technology trends to new and existing systems architecture• Manage at the project/task level (as needed) to provide specific guidance for operations personnel on technical projects, design and implementation• Own the end-to-end technical design for initiatives in close partnership across arrivia operational teams• Design and document internal processes for the Operations team to manage, maintain, and evaluate production systems to meet or exceed customer SLA's• Work closely with the Development team to gather goals and illicit requirements then translate those into technical designs and solutions• Work on a cross-functional agile delivery team• Troubleshoot technical issues, especially recurring problems impacting production applications• Experience building prototypes, pilots, or full products in cloud environments• Ensure technology solutions are designed, developed, and implemented to meet business needs• Facilitate automation deployments to reduce manual processes and improve efficiencies across systems and data centersJob Requirements: • 10 years or more of engineering and/or applied architecture experience in Azure Cloud platform• Demonstrated leadership and experience in implementing an enterprise-wide CI/CD capability• Extensive experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines with best practices using Git, ADO, Ansible, or other similar tools• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Resource Management templates, Virtual Networks, Storage, Virtual Machines, and Azure Active Directory• Experience in troubleshooting very complex distributed environments, including following stack traces back to code to determine root cause analysis• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience developing, implementing and maintaining required server components and automation scripts to host continuous integration/continuous (CI/CD) delivery processes suitable for large-scale, cloud-hosted applications• Extensive experience working with automated configuration and infrastructure deployment management tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible etc.• Hands-on experience implementing centralized log aggregation and search frameworks such as Splunk, ELK, SumoLogic, etc.• Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, JDBC, Servlet/JSP, SQL, HTML, XML, JSON, Application clustering / load balancing concepts and technologies• Able to follow the ITIL framework for incident, problem and change management• Demonstrated proficiency in application containerization, web applications, APIs or web services, and databases• Experience coding in higher-level languages like PHP, Python, .NET, or Java• Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills• Must be willing to occasionally work weekends and often after hours.
