Product Designer, Seller Experience Automation

Job Description

As a Product Designer at Square, you will drive design execution for our Marketing Automation team. Marketing Automation's goal is to help our internal partners better understand and connect with all our customers. We design tools that save teams time and empower them to personalize every interaction a customer has with Square.

We're looking for a designer to work on with our Account Management, Sales, and Partnership teams to create personalized tools that guide their daily workflows. You'll work with our Machine Learning and Data Science teams to combine unique automation technologies with user-centric designs to build tools that make understanding and connecting with our merchants efficient and enjoyable. You'll use and contribute to our design system, and work with teams across the company to improve our processes and tools.

• Create professional, well-thought-out designs using established design systems and patterns.

• Work with UX researchers, product managers, and engineers to iterate on new features and user journeys across a variety of internal tools.

• Advocate for the customer and participate in usability research and customer discovery.

• Think holistically about complex systems, empathize with users, and conceptualize designs, from wireframes, visual mockups to prototypes.

• Advocate for product quality

Qualifications

• At least (1–3) years of professional design experience, including internships

• A portfolio that shows work that made it through to completion

• Experience speaking to the goals of the work as well as successes and failures

• You're comfortable with defining scope for your work and setting proper expectations with your cross-functional team

• You can effectively communicate and present your work to your product team and design peers

• You participate in research initiatives and brainstorms to gather input to improve your design work

• You seek feedback from other designers and partners to help improve your work and grow your skills
