RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ.

Responsibilities of the Senior Systems Engineer: Work with Senior Systems Engineer on definition / design of Space Flight Product requirements This mid-level engineer with be given the responsibility to work a subsystem interface (i.e. power system, attitude control, comm, payload) Interface with customer to determine detailed requirements for avionics/payload systems Interact with Broad Reach internal disciplines on definition of requirements Senior Systems Engineer will handle electrical/mechanical/thermal engineering, radiation/reliability, software/test engineering, QA, procurement, program management, and contracts Senior Systems Engineer will have design responsibilities should include circuit card worst case analysis, parts stress analysis, power analysis, static timing, dynamic timing, and signal integrity analysis

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a minimum of 5 years of satellite electronic systems design and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering Experience with PowerPC processors, FPGA, encryption, power supply and software design is considered a plus Ideal candidate would be familiar with space electronics environmental testing (EMI, Shock, Vibe, T-Vac), a variety of communication standards (CCSDS, Spacewire, MIL-STD-1553, etc.) and conduction cooled electronics design Also would be familiar with NASA EEE-INST-002 and radiation-based parts selection An understanding of spacecraft subsystems Ability to work with Digital and Analog circuitry to unsure system functionality Comfortable working in a lab environment with knowledge of a wide array of interfaces including RS422, LVDS, precision analog circuitry, and FET power switching Knowledge in detailed digital and analog designs including processor and FPGA-based circuit card designs Basic knowledge of cPCI specifications as well as some experience in command and data handling, guidance and navigation, and power control Familiarity with Circuit Card Design Tools (Schematics/PCB Layout) and FPGA Design Tools (with exposure to VHDL) is essential
