Looking for a passionate and savvy Software Engineer. Excellent benefits and pension! Assists with integrating new technologies with existing systems, dashboards, data mining, building, and supporting custom applications, documentation, business process automation, database administration and supporting district technologies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
  • Collect and analyze requirements, coordinate, and support existing/new system implementations and data integrations with district or 3rd party systems.
  • Build and develop custom software applications.
  • Build and develop Mobile Apps for the district.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Power Apps and Datawarehouse solutions
  • Model data using MS Excel, ArcGIS, PowerBI and/or other Datawarehouse analytical tools.
  • Maintain SQL Server databases, their policies, and procedures to ensure the appropriate storage backup and recovery processes are performed.
  • Perform the installation, configuration and upgrading migration of MSSQL server software and related products.
  • Create, maintain, and tune system database structures.
  • Upgrade legacy software solutions using latest software technologies.
  • Coordinate with the district and vendors on implementing new software systems, integrations, and any relevant processes.
  • Provide documentation and training to staff for the purpose of ensuring best use of new and existing software/workflows.
  • Provide admin support on 3rd party systems to district users and leadership.
  • Work with multiple projects concurrently, both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Carry out any special projects or other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require):Requires a minimum of 3 years of enterprise data, computer programming, systems analysis, or database administration experience, including visualization and development of business intelligence, process automation, database solutions or similar experience.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by D.P.S.

KNOWLEDGE (position requirements at entry):
  • Software development best practices, including setting coding standards, conducting code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational support.
  • Principles of computer programming, systems analysis, and database management
  • Active Directory and authentication process
  • Programming languages: Visual Basic, Java Script, Java, IIS, CSS

SKILLS (position requirements at entry):
  • Microsoft 365 Applications including Excel, Forms and SharePoint
  • Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI and data analytical tools
  • Programming languages: .Net languages, C#, SQL Server SSIS and T-SQL, ASP.net, HTML, XTML, and Powershell
  • SQL Server Database Administration
  • Architect data integration and process automation
  • Architect and build custom applications
  • Data analysis

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

:Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Medium Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
