Our client, a leader in investment banking, is seeking a Data Governance Engineer to join their team! This position is in Tempe, AZ! This role is a 4-month W2 contract with the opportunity to extend or convert Benefits offered! In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing key privacy controls that preserve and improve privacy protections and implementing controls through the usage of privacy management platforms including third-party solutions. The Data Governance Engineer will work with teams to discover data, classify data elements, and verify data catalogs. Responsibilities:
- Implementing solutions to automate the data discovery and classification information
- Conduct privacy impact assessments, perform testing, and restore privacy platform solutions while documenting procedures for installation, operations, and maintenance
- Find efficient solutions to collect, transfer and use personal information while following appropriate processes to protect the information
- Design privacy technologies and work with business and system owners to confirm effective implementation of privacy controls within business units
- Provide innovative solutions to facilitate assurance and automation of privacy controls
- Bachelor's degree in privacy engineering, data analytics, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related field
- 3+ years' experience using data literacy skills: finding and managing data, cleansing data, manipulating data
- Demonstrated working knowledge of software engineering fundamentals
- Understand and research data protection principles and data privacy practices
- Experience in compliance, risk, legal, data, or project fields preferred
- Competitive Pay: Up to $111/hour, DOE
