The Residential team in Labs is looking for a Data Design Analyst who can maintain, enhance, and design existing and future database solutions. We are looking for an individual that collaborates well with product teams and others in revealing data insights. This team supports the Ting Product. This is an awesome opportunity to work on an experienced and exciting team, where collaboration and teamwork are at the core of the group.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads strategic work across the product and utilizes data architecture and data design & administration practices and industry concepts to increase efficiency and effectiveness of complex issues
  • Maintains existing AWS RDS - PostgresSQL for Ting Product data
  • Drives data design decisions for the product
  • Provides support for data solutions including extract, transformation, load (ETL)

Qualifications

  • Uses a working knowledge of AWS Database services (e.g. RDS, DynamoDB)
  • Ability to apply, adapt or integrate technologies to meet demand
  • Proven agility and desire to grow technical skills and business acumen through self-learn and/or vendor training
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing roles, requirements, and skill sets
  • Strong propensity for multitasking - the ability to quickly and successfully adjust to shifting requests with aggressive time-lines
  • An innovative mindset who seeks to improve processes through the identification and implementation of automated solutions
  • Proven high-level of communication capabilities (written and verbal) of analytic concepts and data
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both business and technical resources at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Self-motivated individual with attention to detail and demonstrated learning agility

Technical Skills/Experience:
  • PostgresSQL
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data
  • Experience with modern browser developer tools or similar debugging applications
  • Experience testing and reviewing data capture solutions for accuracy, preferred
  • Statistics programming language - i.e. Python, R, SAS, or similar - 1+ years of experience
  • Statistics - 2+ years hands on experience

Desired Skills:
  • Cloud Computing - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), specifically cloud-hosted databases
  • Advanced SQL-ETL
  • Python - Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas
  • Advanced Excel - Pivotal tables, data extraction from Database, PowerBI
  • Geographic Information Systems/Mapping
  • Basic programming for Automation - java, Python, or even VBA
  • AWS certification, a plus
