- Completed Masters, other advanced degrees, in an analytical field such as statistics, economics, data science, mathematics, quantitative marketing, operations research, etc.
- A minimum of 4 years of applied experience developing predictive models in an industry setting
- Experience with gathering and interpreting business requirements to design and create scalable data science solutions in a regulatory environment (including, but not limited to, insurance, healthcare, and finance).
- Experience serving as mentor/coach of junior data scientists and/or interns is strongly preferred
- Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously
- Broad experience with a variety of advanced modeling techniques: generalized linear & non-linear modeling, survival analysis, clustering, time series, tree-based algorithms, and/or neural networks.
- Familiarity with concepts related to the design of experiments & the analysis of unstructured data
- Programming experience with Python, R and/or SAS
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS)
- Demonstrated ability to convey complex subject matter to a variety of audiences
