Job Description

Work within our DevSecOps team and be part of a group that helps ensure our applications can be developed and deployed using industry standard tools and technologies. Work at the forefront of build and deploy automation.

As a Principal Software Engineer(SRE), primary responsibility will be supporting DevSecOps tools in production environments. The engineer will be responsible for tools - reliability, continuous patching and software upgrades. The role will be focusing on developing the solutions working closely with partner teams and onsite team members (development leads and systems analysts).

Skills and Requirements:
  • Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Drive C4E department best practices, guidelines implementation and adhering to standards.
  • Operationally Focused: Passionate about monitoring, resiliency, uptime, performance and automation.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot production issues. Hands-on experience with typical project and system/customer support. This includes planning, coordinating, customer education and support, troubleshooting, problem resolution, product evaluation, and documentation. Additional needed experience includes - Implementation, management, and administration of Enterprise systems tools and processes.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent listener; proven collaborator with superiors, peers and staff.
  • Automation Driver: Constantly look for automation opportunities
  • Enjoy problem solving: Ability to find creative and reliable solutions to complex problems
  • Experienced in configuration management and automation tools (Helm, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack) - Knowledge with SQL and noSQL database administration
  • Knowledge of agile software development practices and release management
  • Good teamwork skills and attention to detail
  • A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Software. Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Gitlab or any related) and building CICD pipelines
  • Experience with Jenkins, writing code as a pipeline jobs using groovy. Using groovy to create shared libraries
  • Hands-on Experience working with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
  • Experience with Unix OS, writing scripts using shell/bash, Perl, Python for task automation
  • Good knowledge of Linux internals and administration
  • Network configuration of Firewalls, VPN, Routers/Switches, and Load Balancers
  • Troubleshooting and resolving single customer issues with Windows, Mac, and Linux, VPN, permissions, and ownership of a wide variety of account administration tasks.
  • Hands-on Experience in Linux environments (RHEL)
  • Hands-on Experience with Ansible, writing playbooks to automate tasks, deploy artifacts
  • Hands-on Experience in configuring monitoring tools (AppDynamics)
  • Working experience on DevSecOps tools upgrade, patching and migrations.
  • Worked on Jenkins/Gitlab application and knowledge on how Jenkins/Gitlab works
  • Worked on CI/CD integration with Gitlab, Jenkins or related
  • Terraform experience as it relates to cloud infrastructure setup
  • Experience in setting up or migrating DevOps tools in AWS Infrastructure using Terraform
  • Knowledge on security and vulnerability remediation for tools
  • Knowledge on source control tools like gitlab, github, bitbucket
  • Knowledge on shell scripting languages like bash, python
  • Knowledge on administrating DevSecOps tools: Jenkins, Gitlab, Nexus, Checkmarx, Snyk, SonarQube, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye). Or in related tools which perform similar functions.
  • Knowledge on Ansible deployment automation
  • Working experience on Docker, Openshift/Kubernetes/Docker Swarm
  • Knowledge on static analysis and artifact management tools
  • Experience on production support and linux/windows troubleshooting.
Good to have:
  • Worked on tomcat and apache server
  • Worked on weblogic server configuration and deployments
  • Knowledge on ant/maven/gradle
  • Experience suggesting application enhancements to support SLO/SLI/SLA criteria
  • Release Deployment Management experience
