Job Description

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions utilized to support the business analytical and reporting needs.

The position will also be responsible for building analytical solutions. Design and develop complex reports and dashboards to meet business requirements. Build scorecards, dashboards, ad hoc and standard reports. Create and/or enhance report objects, metrics, filters, and prompts.

Collaborate with solutions analysts and business users to define requirements and reporting specifications and provide technical report assistance. Validate reporting results against requirements.

Troubleshoot and analyze data issues within reports. Work with the data team and business operational teams to understand data sources and implement new requirements. Ensure optimal end-user performance by establishing and consistently executing overall system performance assessment processes and associated action plans.

Specific Job Skills and Experience:
  • Related Bachelor's degree
  • Four or more years of experience in a banking and finance-related organization
  • Four or more years of expertise in Oracle
  • Strong SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL Server/Oracle platforms)
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data structures, and reporting
  • Strong Skills of Tableau dashboard, functions, features, and capabilities
  • Experience connecting Tableau to live and extract data including cloud data.
  • Experience setting up data security within dashboard and object security at folder or dashboard level.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and metadata skills
  • Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Reporting tools like BIP, OTBI and Faw
  • Ability to identify, document, resolve, and escalate issues
  • Prioritize multiple tasks effectively and communicate progress well among teams.
