- Strong command of VMware horizon required - Horizon 7.x / 8.x , Horizon Cloud Connector and Unified Access Gateway, Horizon Cloud on Azure, Workspace ONE Access with Horizon (and/or) Horizon Cloud, Dynamic Environment Manager (for Horizon and Horizon Cloud), App Volumes (for Horizon and Horizon Cloud), various 3rd party integrations with Horizon and Horizon Cloud, vSphere 6.7 and 7.x environments, with demonstrated experience architecting enterprise level configurations.
- Strong command of VMware Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access preferred.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for MDM/UEM, including VMware Horizon/Workspace ONE and related technologies.
- Experience in designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale implementations of VMware Horizon/Workspace ONE and other mobility management solution, and related technologies.
- Maintain a deep technical understanding across VMware Virtualization, Networking, Cloud and Mobility products/technologies.
- Assess User Profile Management in a VDI environment and troubleshoot User Profiles and GPOs
- Provide knowledge transfer and assistance as required to the Managed Services and operational teams for ongoing support.
- Provide guidance and problem solving on architecture and critical technical problems for customer issues.
- Contribute to the development and standardization of delivery documentation and processes.
- Lead consultative client conversations to plan and architect sound mobility solutions that meet customer needs
- Manage time and delivery to scope to meet project commitments and avoid significant financial impact
- Senior technical resource responsible for critical/complex troubleshooting and escalation for internal and external resources
- Bachelor's Degree in a business\technology or equivalent technical experience
- 2-3 + years experience in a supervisory or team\project lead capacity
- Demonstrated record of innovation, ability to influence and drive technology through thought leadership
- 4-6+ years exposure to large enterprise IT environments and the skills required to support this type of environment.
- 3 + years experience supporting VMware Horizon
- Expert level certification in at least one discipline and professional level certifications in at least one additional discipline.
- Broad and deep knowledge of VMware Horizon/Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access technologies, and best business practices
- Industry subject matter expert in several practice technologies and delivery methodologies
- Advanced logic and troubleshooting skills
- Proven track record of successfully delivering highly complex projects with little to no oversight
- Provides consultative direction with clients and project management
- Solves complex problems and makes some modifications to standard methods
- Manages problems that intersect technology and business issues in the client's environment, translating into innovative technology solutions
- EMM/MDM/MAM platforms utilized within an Enterprise to manage endpoints
- Strong macOS, Apple iOS and Android mobile device smart handsets and secure connectivity methods of these devices/systems in the enterprise
- Broad knowledge of modern operating systems, TCP/IP networking/routing, WiFi, firewalls, and databases, and cloud vs. on premise or hybrid computing models
- Understanding of steps, processes for automated deployment of macOS, iOS and Android endpoints within the Enterprise, e.g. via EMM or Apple Configurator or other tools. Experience with macOS deployments with EMM tools high desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to interact with various client business unit IT end-users, including leadership, when needed
- Strong Familiarity of modern desktop/IT configuration and integration methodologies for endpoints (Win10/macOS, iOS, Samsung Android)
