Job Summary: This position will direct and provide leadership of all Continuous Improvement activity for Systems Engineering Managed Services across the Technology Infrastructure. Provides direction and delivery of improvement programs to increases the Technology Infrastructure Engineering's efficiency and speed to market. Responsible for a range of process improvement and process management activities. Activities include planning, performing, and implementing process improvement initiatives, in addition to ownership of operational processes. These initiatives may represent one portion of a larger project or may represent a stand-alone initiative or function within a work group or department. Process management functions may include data gathering and analysis, best practice research, process mapping, developing, and recommending alternatives for improvement, developing performance metrics, obtaining leadership or stakeholder agreement, implementing improvements, and monitoring post-process improvement initiative performance to updated standards. Activities are undertaken and executed in support of organizational goals and are accountable for providing business process solutions to meet internal and external customer expectations. Partners with management, project champions, and process owners to execute the project and deliver results.

What You will do:
  • Strengthen the partnership between Technology Infrastructure and its managed services accounts beyond the transactional level
  • Promote positive and productive relationships by building trust, solidifying expectations, and establishing boundaries
  • Lead and support dispute resolutions and service delivery
  • Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure and test for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide second and third level support
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and provides technical direction to IT support staff
  • Plan and oversee the implementation of system automation
  • Work with leadership and architecture teams to set new direction and develop the strategic direction
  • Assist in the management of the operational and strategic planning processes
  • Provide ownership of services in the portfolio
  • Partner with cross functional teams on strategic initiatives and improvements to determine plan and strategy changes to keep business moving forward
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret information to assess and conclude on service areas, including the preparation of clear and concise documentation to support conclusions and findings
  • Provide updates to leadership regarding the team's financial status, strategy shifts and changes, and department specific information
  • Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends
  • Drives the adoption of (and commitment towards) service improvements
  • Develop and lead a team of highly skilled individuals on a robust team through active performance management, talent management, coaching, recruiting, and hiring. Qualifications:

What you bring to the table:
  • Results focused with track record of delivery of improvements
  • Experience working managed services
  • Dynamically work between in-house resources and external partners
  • Experience working in Infrastructure Technology
  • Broad knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision in order to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cross functional coordination
  • Proficient in Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project) or similar project tool(s)
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Jira, Outlook, and Sharepoint is a plus
  • Experience working in Risk related initiatives
  • Experience working in the Finance industry is a plus

What You Have :
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, military experience, or related fields; Master's degree a plus
  • 15+ years of experience in Information Technology working with emerging technologies
  • 8+ years management and leadership experience in enterprise level environments
  • 7+ years of experience integrating ITSM Services and Operations into a hybrid enterprise platform
  • 10+ years of experience working for a major financial institution within the US market
  • Extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in motivating and driving thought leadership for large transformation programs
  • Process/Methodology knowledge including Lean Engineering, Agile, Scrum, DevOps
  • Experience supporting both Microsoft and Open Source stack - Linux, JBoss, Java, etc.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for communicating to various audiences
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with staff, business stakeholders, end users, management, and others outside the organization
  • Solution-oriented leadership and a management-based approach
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environm ent
