The individual in this role will be part of a very collaborative Contracts team supporting captures and development programs within the Hypersonics Effectors portfolio. Please note that this role is designated as hybrid and is located in Tucson, Arizona. There is flexibility for telecommuting initially, but please note that relocation to Tucson is expected within 3 months of acceptance. If you’re passionate about what you could accomplish here, we’d love to hear from you.Responsibilities to Anticipate:Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFP)

Conduct proposal reviews and coordinate customer responses

Negotiate contracts

Review Estimates at Completion (EAC)

Support program management and execution reviews

Develop Intellectual Property and investment strategy

Provide general contract administration

Work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals

Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues

Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies

Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks

Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience OR in absence of a degree, twelve (12) years of relevant experience is required.

Prior experience with US Government contracts

Active and in-scope Secret US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Qualifications We Value:Active Top Secret clearance a plus

Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

Experience managing development contracts

Experience as a team or program Contracts lead

Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification

Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust

Experience working is a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective

Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills

Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals

Related contract administration experience including hands-on proposal preparation and contract negotiations with the US Department of Defense (DoD)

Experience with US Government and US Prime Contractor customers as well as end-user communities in the development and acquisition of major systems

Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements

Juris Doctor or MBA a plus
