Job Description
SUMMARYResponsible for process and design of all aspects of Process Engineering for Mineral and Chemical Process plants. Responsible for scoping through detailed engineering and execution of plans.
REPORTING LINEDirectly reports to Branch Manager
JOB FUNCTIONSPerform Process Modeling (Mineral and chemical plants) for client projects
Process Engineering and Design, equipment sizing and selection, review of plant layout
Review of other Engineering deliverables for a project and interpreting and discussing with relevant stakeholders
Bias Test analysis and determination of Bias/non-Bias results
Proposal Development which includes cost estimating, review of technical and commercial content
Project Management of all aspects of projects from start to finish, making and decisions as appropriate
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEB.S. Mining or Process Engineering required
M.S./Mining or Process Engineering required
10 years of experience in Mining or Process Engineering required
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONSRegistered Professional Engineer required
Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101 (designation) required
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIESLanguage Skills: English Required
Mathematical Skills: Statistics, Process modeling, Advanced mathematics Required
Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Excellent Required
Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills Required
Comprehensive knowledge of process plant operations, process simulation tools Required
Extensive knowledge of process design methods, process modeling Required
Detail oriented and has the ability to meet project deadlines Required
Experience in working with base metals and precious metal mineral processing Required
Perform engineering in all project phases of process design Required
Financial and Feasibility studies / modeling Required
COMPUTER SKILLSMicrosoft Office 365
Extensive ability in programing Excel Spreadsheets
