Window and Skylight manufacturing plant is looking for a Facility Engineering Manager. This detail-oriented, hands-on candidate will also develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.

Required Requirements

Candidate must be a skilled mechanic, machinist, and welder

Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a mechanic, machinist, and welder

Minimum Requirements

Window or skylight manufacturing preferred

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

Daily Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Work side by side with the Product Engineer Manager for daily supervision of a team of technicians including effective communications, training, and development to expedite problem resolution with high standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and on-time delivery.

Help with design and development of new products.

Maintain and improve standards of work that ensure all facilities, systems and records are audit/inspection-ready at all times for regulatory and administrative review

Continuously assess the condition of the facility including conditions of the facility structure, interiors, exteriors, and grounds. Oversees staff that installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.

Create, manage, and track purchases/invoices/inventory associated with department expenses for external suppliers and services.

Manage maintenance department

Manage and track routine maintenance on all forklifts and trucks

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions through quality troubleshooting

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Computer Skills:

Must be comfortable using a personal computer operating in a Windows-based environment and be comfortable working in Word and Excel
