SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Maintenance Supervisor is under the direction of the Operations Manager and is responsible for coordinating and managing general maintenance, upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ABILITIES:
Prioritize, assign and supervise work to maintenance department employees
Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems
Create and maintain records for all equipment: Forklifts, Vehicles, etc
Perform written work orders for tracking of all associated repairs and preventative maintenance activities, to include those completed by outside contractors
Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspections programs for facilities and equipment
Create/Monitor inventory control systems for tools, parts and order when necessary
Accountable for monitoring department costs and obtaining cost estimates
Knowledge and experience is safety programs (ex. LOTO, Fall Protection) to ensure work is performed safely
Ensure shop and work areas are clean, organized and free of safety hazards
Develop goals and objectives for department, self and employees
Create policies and procedures for department
Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays
Detail oriented, ability to focus on project or task at hand
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
Computer skills
Experience/Education in: plumbing, electrical and welding
Must be proficient (speak and write) in the English language
Minimum of 2 years of experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Flexibility to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time as needed.
May be required to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
Be able to work in varied environment: indoors and outdoors
Hand dexterity and strength.
