Job Description

The Senior Manager, Customer Development, E-Commerce, is responsible for the functional management and leadership of all sales related activities for assigned brands/categories at Walmart.com. This individual is expected to develop strategic plans to deliver increased revenue and profit for the company and the customer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans in accordance with Corporate goals
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Planning (JBP) Goals with Walmart.com
  • Develop strategies to drive brands and category growth for the brands
  • Direct sales forecasting and projection activities
  • Deliver target budget plan and new product distribution goals
  • Execute our brand and category growth strategy that align with the customer
  • Identify new opportunities for growth; develop and implement strategic sales plans in accordance with corporate goals
  • Develop account specific programs that align with the customers strategic plans that help with profitable growth
  • Maintain clear understanding of customer objectives, and liaise internally to develop operational plans to manage execution and measure results
  • Understand Walmart.com’s go-to-market strategy and how to maximize sales efficiency
  • Relationship management with account cross functional areas, Corporate and divisions
  • Access to top customer executives
  • Foster and grow existing and new relationships within Walmart.com, gaining a deep understanding of current and potential future needs of our customers
  • Educate our internal business partners on our EComm specific products and packaging, and develop measurement and KPI’s to help with growth
  • Deliver presentations that show innovation, digital shelf strategy, promotions, communicate suggested pricing, etc.
  • Manage execution of daily business in partnership with Walmart.com, promotional planning, ASIN maintenance, logistics and customer relationship
  • Implement and Evolve Retail initiatives and monitor Retail standards, content and level of education on the product detail page
  • Input Trade Investment Management (TIM): system input, trade fund management, direct sales forecasting and projection activities for the company
  • Deduction management.
  • Manage Trade budget and monitor spending efficiency that focus on a strong ROI
  • P&L management within respective account coverage

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of National Account sales experience
  • 5+ years of E-commerce experience; Walmart.com experience is preferable
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Convenience, Grocery, Drug and/or Mass retail channel(s) a plus
  • Prior experience using syndicated data to determine customer needs and establish the most effective pricing and promotional activities
  • Prior exposure to category management and strong analytical background is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required, MBA a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Ability to build relationships and senior level engagement
  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
  • Project management in a complex, fast-moving environment
  • Some travel expected; occasional overnight travel may be required
