This is a Weekend Option position. The Weekend Option Program provides higher, premium rates of pay for 24/7 co-workers who commit to working weekends.
Overview:
Under the supervision of the Radiology Director, performs CT and X-Ray examinations. Performs a variety of procedures which require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation and/or radiopharmaceutcals to obtain CT and/or X-Ray. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision, and values of Mercy.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum 2 year AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology, associate or baccalaureate degree. Certification with ARRT. CT and/or xray registered or registry eligible within 12 months of hire. Good oral and written communication skills. 12 months experience preferred. Radiation saftey Training & MRI Saftey training for non-MRI personnel.Licensure: Certification with ARRT. CT and/or Xray registered or registry eligible within 12 months of hire.Experience: 12 months experience preferred. Certifications: Certification with ARRT. CT and/or Xray registered or registry eligible within 12 months of hire. Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within a reasonable time-frame (generally within 6 months), based on skills, knowledge and experience.Other: Good oral and written communication skills.
