Does the idea of actual rocket science seem exciting to you?Lockheed Martin’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Global Supply Chain team is looking for a passionate, detail-oriented problem-solver to add to its Program Execution team. As a Subcontract Manager (SCM), it will be your responsibility to facilitate the procurement cycle from beginning to end. THAAD is a fast-paced program with ample opportunities for growth and new experiences. Our team operates in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and strives to make all the pieces of the puzzle fit together to deliver quality products on time to our customers. The selected candidate will serve as the primary liaison between Lockheed Martin and our suppliers, communicating customer concerns, expediting delivery schedules, and tracking engineering revisions and material needs. As an SCM, you will have authority to purchase material on LM’s behalf, with occasional expectation to place orders within short lead time. During procurement, you will be the primary LM representative—issuing solicitations, negotiating contract requirements, and managing supplier performance. You will regularly report supply chain metrics, risks, and strategic opportunities to senior-level internal customers. In addition, this position will offer the selected candidate opportunities for travel, personal development, a comprehensive benefits package and flexible work schedule.Associate to support the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Program within the Supply Chain Management organization. The position will support the procurement and management of the direct material requirements in support of the THAAD program. Job responsibilities include the development and maintenance of metrics, the pursuit of deliveries from suppliers, and assistance in the negotiation of subcontracts.This position will be responsible to drive mitigation activities across the THAAD Program Supply Chain. The position is to organize and execute activities between Global Supply Chain and Production Operations for the THAAD program. Duties include:Manage all material requirements, attend shortage meetings and assist the team and program with any supplier related issues.Interface with the site’s Leadership Team and all other departments including Engineering, Quality, Production Operations and PP&C for resource planning.Effectively communicate with Program Supply Chain and various customers.Travel will be required.Basic Qualifications:Ability to lead projects & teams to execute Supply Chain subcontracts and sourcing activities in an executing capacity as a Purchasing agent/Buyer/Subcontract Administrator/ManagerPrevious experience implementing change to improve processesAbility to make strategic decisions while delivering resultsPrevious experience preparing and delivering presentationsAbility to obtain a US Security clearanceAbility to travelDesired Skills:Working knowledge of SAP and/or Procure to Pay (P2P)Working knowledge of Procurement processes including Lockheed Martin Material Acquisition Procedures and FARAbility to multi-taskStrong communication skillsComfortable working in a team environmentBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
