Village Travel, which operates out of Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri is currently seeking an individual to clean and wash our buses in Springdale Arkansas. Village and its customers take pride in operating and riding on the nicest motor coaches on the road. While we can't expect perfection, there is little margin of error allowed in this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Washing exterior of coach
- Dumping, rinsing, and refilling onboard toilet
- Checking tire air pressure and all fluid levels on bus
- moving buses on private lot to dump toilet, wash, and put in building after being cleaned
- Clean restroom
- wash/wipe down touch surfaces inside coach
- clean windows on coach
- hand mop floors and steps
- ensure seats are in upright position, clean and are free from damage
- Keeping shop clean and orderly
- Placing orders for cleaning supplies with our corporate office
Must have:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Attention to detail
- The drive to succeed and work hard
Must Be:
- Drug free
- willing to work really odd hours at times
- willing to work weekends
- a self-starter
- motivated
- willing to work on your own with little supervision
Compensation:
This position pays $13 per hour. This position is not a good "filler" to work around another job because of the odd hours you must work to keep them all clean. This position is the full time. There is a lot of flexibility in when you have to work though. Because you are the only one in the shop, you get to choose when you come in to wash them as long as they are done within the time specifications we require.
In addition, as a full time position, you will have 7 paid holidays annually, receive 1 week of paid vacation the first year, 2 weeks after one year and 3 weeks after 5 years. You also have the ability to participate in our health insurance program after your probationary period of 90 days. Life insurance is provided free of charge to each employee. After one year of employment, you can also participate in the 401k matching program where Village Travel will give you 4% of your earnings into a retirement account.
This position does require you to operate a 45 foot motorcoach, on your own, after proper training.
I cannot stress enough the importance of being attentive to detail, a hard worker, and drug free. Prior experience in janitorial, automotive detail or cleaning preferred.
