Small-animal veterinary hospital seeking KENNEL ATTENDANT. Must be organized, punctual, and enjoy working with pets and people.
Job responsibilities include caring for the hygiene and comfort of boarding pets; keeping accurate records; bathing dogs and cats; assisting veterinarians and nurses with medical procedures; interacting with pet owners. There is also a good amount of client interaction so communication skills are a must.
35-39 hours/week. Applicant needs to be available to work 7:30am-6pm weekdays; some weekend work also required.
This is a fun, interesting entry-level job for someone who doesn't mind hard work, barking dogs, hissing cats and the messes they make. It's also a great way to learn about veterinary medicine and gain valuable hands-on experience.
