Children’s Enrichment Center

Is looking for exceptional teachers to add to our staff.

We are a Reggio inspired child care that offers farm to preschool meals in a loving and relaxed atmosphere.

CEC offers a warm, interesting learning environment which allows children the freedom to choose and time to discover their place in the world, where they can feel at home.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a childcare setting, degree or CDA preferred

Good communication skills with staff, children and parents

Have a passion for supporting children in their early years, to help support their development according to best practice.

Energy to get through the day! You will be on your feet and engaged in play for most of the day. You will be expected to be on the floor with the children helping them navigate their world. Lifting up to 50 pounds, squatting, walking, getting wet and messy, pushing a 6 seat wagon, and keeping your classroom tidy.

Be aware that we spend time outside everyday in all kinds of weather.

Essential Criteria:

Pass a FBI background check

Extensive Knowledge of Better Beginnings, Conscious Discipline, ELS, Iters, Ecers, NAEYC

Supportive and respectful nature

The ability to align with Reggio Emilia and Pikler influenced philosophy

Enjoys working collaboratively within a leadership team

Passionate about making a difference to Early Childhood Education

A valid First Aid and CPR

Main Duties include but not limited

Demonstrating new ways to play that incorporates learning in an exciting way

Being a key person and building positive relationships with a small group of children and their families

Carry out planning and observations

Safeguarding all children and following all CEC and DHS policies and procedures

Working well in a team to ensure continuity in the center

To ensure that accurate records are kept in regards to the accident, incident, injury, and illness.

Promote good parent/center relationships

Maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, particularly those through staff observation
