Test Engineer III

This position provides technical leadership for a team of testers, but is also responsible for developing software verification plans, test procedures and test environments; executing the test procedures; interpreting tests for software products, application code, system processes, or modifications to these software processes. Responsible for documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met; and preparing documentation of these activities for delivery. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions to the responsible developer. Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Develops, maintains and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.    Key Areas of ResponsibilityIdentifies functional problems and suggests resolutions.Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.Contributes to the next-generation of test design.Defines test cases according to product feature specifications.Owns the qualification process for new development activity.Participates in the preparation, review, and analysis of software requirements and specifications.Clearly communicates project issues and status to management.Reviews and implements test strategies for software products.Maintains proficiency of SQL Server and Microsoft Test Manager.May lead and direct the work of others.Other duties as assigned by management.Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes- Oxley Act 2002 Section 404.
