Role: Software Engineer - Full Stack

Role Description: The

Software Engineer - Full Stack must have at least 8+ years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for development tasks assigned during the Agile sprint. You will document programs, develop and implement new features, and support critical web applications' layer architecture and various back-end systems supporting the platform and other digital initiatives. This position applies advanced programming techniques and concepts during the solution design and development. You are also responsible for ensuring the team's compliance with the Companys architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities: - Leads development efforts in an Agile development environment, daily stand ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and sprint demos. - Implements web designs that are asynchronous, responsive, and provide a rich user experience. - Leads development and implementation of new features that meet the Companys standards in performance, reliability, and maintainability. - Troubleshoots and solves production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack with assistance from other team members. - Performs application debugging using their IDE of choice; unit testing using architecture standards; and documentation of current or future work tasks with a visual modeling application and/or an integrated README. - Leads team members in execution and release of builds using continuous integration and deployment using our current CI/CD applications and processes. - Leads analysis and design tasks with the Agile team using software development lifecycle concepts. - Works within a collaborative environment and contributes to team goals by offering open and honest communication and helping to meet deadlines. - Acts as a technical consultant to the team's management by leveraging technical and domain knowledge to answer questions. - Provides technical leadership to the team and others through coaching and mentorship.

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, training and experience; plus 8 years of experience in Software Development or Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in developing enterprise Java applications from scratch. - Good understanding of Java design patterns, integration patterns and best practices. - Desire to create proof-of-concepts; develop reference implementations, deploy in production using build pipelines; documenting best practices, and standards. - Ability to develop enterprise applications in Java and JEE (hands-on experience). - Experience in Spring Boot, API development, integration frameworks, big data, data streaming, database, DevOps, and container technologies. - Exposure to developing and deploying cloud-native applications. - Experience developing automated tests. - Exposure to transportation industry logistics and supply chain management is considered a plus. - Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with higher-level management. - Passion for learning new technologies and ability to work with minimal guidance.

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
