Description:Install, maintain, and repair electrical portions of plant equipment such as; generators, transformers switch boards, breaker boxes, circuit breakers, controllers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, light bulbs, HVAC and natural gas heaters, and other transmission equipment.
Identify, maintain and operate safety components of the facility such as; fire protection, emergency power distribution system and plant compressed air systems.
Work from blueprints, drawings, wire diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to complete assigned duties.
Must be able to locate, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in the electrical system of equipment.
Must be able to completely use a variety of electronics, hand tools, measuring equipment and testing equipment in the performance of job.
Do standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
Order replacement parts or materials as necessary from information obtained from parts manuals, blueprints, and/or maintenance supply catalog.
Ensure that all work is in accordance with relevant National Electrical Codes.
Ability to weld, solder and blaze when needed.
Must be able to use material handling equipment such as; lifts trucks, hand trucks and powered vehicle.
May be directed by maintenance supervision to perform other duties as assigned.
Basic computer knowledge. Periodic on-line safety training is required.Around 100 individual pieces of manufacturing and distribution equipment ranging from sheetwise hotstamp / diecut presses, thermography machines, folders, packaging lines etc. to conveyors, sortation machines, and diverting equipment.
