We are looking for an exceptional senior software engineer or software engineer III for this Direct Hire opportunity. The Right candidate is someone who takes pride in their work as you’ll be working on an entirely new platform to enable internal and external potential. The position is responsible for the development of tasks assigned during the Agile sprint. This includes document programs, developing and implementing new features, and the ability to support critical web applications' layer architecture and various back-end systems supporting the platform and other digital initiatives. The position applies some advanced programming techniques and concepts during solution design and development.
Responsibilities- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
- Helps lead development efforts in an Agile development environment, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and sprint demos
- Write well-designed, testable code - Implements web designs that are asynchronous, responsive, and provide a rich user experience
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility - Develops and implements new features that meet company standards in performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Troubleshoots and solves production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack with assistance from other team members
- Performs application debugging using their IDE of choice; unit testing using architecture standards; and documentation of current or future work tasks with a visual modeling application and/or an integrated README.
- Helps lead team members in the execution and release of builds using continuous integration and deployment using our current CI/CD applications and processes.
- Help lead analysis and design tasks with the Agile team using software development lifecycle concepts
- Works within a collaborative environment and contributes to team goals by offering open and honest communication and helping to meet deadlines
- Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
- Comply with project plans and industry standards
- Ensure software is updated with the latest features
- Proven work experience as a Software Engineer III or Senior Software Engineer
- Experience designing interactive applications
- Ability to develop software in Java, Ruby on Rails, C, or other programming languages
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
- Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
- Experience with test-driven development
- Proficiency in software engineering tools
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
- BSC degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (LISTED BELOW)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or related field, or foreign equivalent, or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training; plus 4 years of experience in Software Development or Computer Engineering or related field using technologies such as Java (J2EE), JavaScript, Webservices (SOAP or REST), Spring, Tomcat, SQL, Eclipse, IDEA Intellij, C#, Python, HTML, Angular JS/Angular 2, EXT JS, Android, or iOS.
- Senior Software Engineer $120k - $140k+ (full benefits, 401k, + bonus eligibility)
