Overview:
The Application Developer will be responsible for the overall coding and design of technology solutions.

Responsibilities:Create complex, enterprise-transforming business applicationsWrite high quality codeUse the latest tools and techniques ( .NET, C#, Ruby, Rspec, nunit, Agile Methodologies, Web Services)Test software during developmentPrepare software for deployment to production environmentsRespond to questions and issues logged by users of a live systemBe part of diverse, high energy teams focused on full life-cycle development Continually learn, mentor and growPerform other related duties as required and assignedDemonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Qualifications:Proficient-level technical knowledge in one or more areas of technology such as Ruby, Rails, .NET, SOA, and DatabaseExcellent communication and customer interfacing skillsStrong analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize solutionsDelivery experience on a Ruby/Rails development projectExperience with object oriented analysis and designKnowledge of design patterns, refactoring and unit testingKnowledge of Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum is helpfulFamiliarity with relational and new type of databasesMust be highly proficient in Excel and WordMust be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independentlyProven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environmentExcellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgmentFinancial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferredStrong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
