Our 103,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Summary:This position is responsible for identifying and managing project work, managing the site emergency response team, developing and conducting safety training, and consulting and communicating knowledge regarding Cal/OSHA, NFPA, DOT and EPA standards and regulations. The position is also responsible for communicating and implementing safety programs throughout the facility and assisting in the investigation of safety incidents. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Communicate and implement any Corporate, Divisional, Federal, State and Local regulations and ensure compliance with these regulations. Develop and implement EHS policies and programs.Responsibilities:Develops and conducts EHS training and provides resources to assist in training employees on safe work practices. Interface with employees and departments on safety, transportation and environmental related issues and concerns. Assist with site Emergency Response Team. Initiate and submit safety and environmental reports to management, Division, Corporate and regulatory agencies. Investigate accidents and develop corrections. Complete EHS projects as assigned. Overall site wide employee health and safety responsibilities and accountability. Also responsible for Domestic Field Sales EHS programs.Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by managementQualifications:Bachelors Degree in Industrial Safety, other related disciplines or equivalent.Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for medical device industry ideal. Minimum three years experience in industrial safety required. Excellent working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and NFPA regulatory standards required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to translate regulatory requirements into policies and procedures, good project management skills, consulting/influencing skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
