Azure Cloud Engineer

Seeking System Engineer with experience in an Azure Cloud environment. Ideally someone who has helped to build out a cloud environment.

Perm salary plus 10% bonus. Partial remote is acceptable, but will need to be open to being called in for critical meetings/stand ups.

Responsibilities Develop, implement, optimize, and maintain a scalable infrastructure consisting of both on-premise and cloud platform technologies including VMWare, Windows Server, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.

Install, configure, and test systems, application software, and system management tools.

Design and implement release management best practices for on-premise and cloud platforms.

Maintain patch and security updates on all systems.

Troubleshoot system infrastructure outages and performance issues.

Provide technical direction and assistance to IT support staff.

Collaborate with vendors and assist in evaluations and technical documentation of various application, system, and platform improvements.

Create, update, and maintain documentation for design, deployment, support, and maintenance of organizational systems.

Developing and implementing systems integration strategy for newly acquired organizations through mergers and/or acquisitions.

Generating scripts and templates required for the automatic provisioning of resources.

Discover standard cloud services offerings, install, and execute processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings.

Configure and maintain SSO with Okta or Azure AD.

Plan and implement the onboarding of organizations onto the ATI platform of systems due to mergers and acquisitions.

Release Management

Skills:

Expert knowledge of VMWare and Windows Server in both on-premise and cloud platform environments.

Expert knowledge of Active Directory including ADFS,ADSS, and ADMT.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional IT members to meet departmental and organizational objectives.

Working knowledge of scripting language tools including PowerShell and Python to support automation tasks.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with vendors and peers.

Ability to identify and resolve system malfunctions and/or operational problems.

Ability to learn and support new applications, systems, and platforms.

Highly organized with excellent analytical, documentation, and multi-tasking skills.

Creative problem solver and solution identifier when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands, and technical risks/issues.

Knowledge in productivity suite platforms including Google Workspace and Microsoft O365. Experience with migrations between platforms a plus.

Familiar with SAML, OpenID, and OAuth

Knowledge and familiarity with DevSecOps and/or DevOps methodologies.

Requirements

7+ years of related IT systems engineering experience, preferably in a large, national organization.

Experience with VMWare ESXi, vSphere and VMware Tools for design, scaling, and capacity management.

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server including AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, etc.

3+ years' experience supporting Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platforms.

Experience with open-source software for deploying, managing, and scaling containers. (Kubernetes, Docker).

Experience with SDLC tools including Jira.

Experience working in Agile environments.
