In the Manager role, you will have responsibility and provide oversight for the Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) Training Delivery team at the Disneyland Resort. You will develop and implement the training delivery strategy for FOS clients, including but not limited to Onboarding and Skills training, Attractions and Facilities training, and Animation and Technology training; ensuring compliance for Regulatory Training through reporting and training delivery. This position leads and develops a team of Training Managers, Training Specialists, and Trainers.Primary Responsibilities/You Will
Model safe behaviors at all times and encourage team members, peers, and partners to do the same
Develop strategic goals, plans, and objectives for the team to optimize performance. Clearly communicate those to team members to ensure they understand how their roles contribute to the team’s charter
Manage the overall scheduling, delivery, tracking, and reporting of training content and curricula for the FOS organization
Develop team members, evaluate performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Promote accountability for results and client service. Ensure appropriate processes and metrics are in place
Provide oversight to all activities through monitoring, ongoing communication and problem-solving with direct reports
Develop an annual budget. Track and handle budget requirements and timelines
Conduct needs analysis and solicit executive support to improve the quality of the learning experience. Measure effectiveness and share results with peers, clients, and leadership
Lead process automation where appropriate to increase efficiency
Provide support to new expansion initiatives with appropriate training in alignment with project schedules and support requirements. Support special projects and initiatives at leadership’s request
Establish and maintain a sustainable process for Attractions ride critical job plan qualifications with a three-year refresh cycle
Be accessible. Maintain relationships with FOS and Operations partners, Employee and Labor Relations, and external vendors
Share best practices and align processes where appropriate with Walt Disney World, Aulani, and other Disney partners as appropriate
Understand key technology improvements as they pertain to training. Keep current with new technology used in attractions and ensure training requirements are met
Be a solution-oriented partner. Deliver innovative ideas/solutions to training issues
Basic Qualifications/You Have
5+years of experience leading a team of leaders
Ability to think strategically and be a change agent
Demonstrated skills and experience in training technical subject matter
Demonstrated technical skills relating to The Walt Disney Company attractions and facilities systems
Proven ability to translate technical training requirements into implementation plans
Advanced capability to speak, write, and present at all levels
Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects
Experience leading and facilitating discussions
Demonstrated excellent relationship management and collaboration skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, Sharepoint, and relevant learning management systems (LMS)
Demonstrated analytical skills
Participation in occasional 2nd and 3rd shift work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with unions
Knowledge of Disneyland Resort FOS organization and business practices
Knowledge of Disneyland Resort regulatory compliance training
Proficiency with D Learn, Maximo, HotSOS, and Business Objects
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience – in training and development, engineering, or business.
Preferred Education
Master’s degree in technical or business field

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
