The Senior Product Manager is responsible for structuring and leading discussions on the development of the product roadmap, including facilitating discussions with business stakeholders regarding product vision and strategy, the scope of key product features and prioritization of those features. This role will consider long-term business goals, and will align the product strategies to those of the business stakeholders to maximize the value delivered by Technology and Digital. This role will keep up-to-date with current trends and technologies in the marketplace and will understand the product from a business, guest and technology perspective. The Senior Product Manager will facilitate regular roadmapping sessions with a cross-section of business stakeholders to ensure alignment between the business strategy and the Technology and Digital delivery timelines. This role will assist in detailing out a product roadmap that distinguishes features delivered, projects that contain those features and stand-alone requests. In addition, the Senior Product Manager will assist in developing a scoring prioritization to assist business leaders in ranking the importance of features/initiatives. The ideal candidate will have vast background in bridging the technical and business teams, with superb communication and documentation skills. Responsibilities:
- Driving/facilitating regular roadmapping discussions to bring new features and initiatives to the table
- Development and maintenance of a prioritization guide
- Meeting with business stakeholders to better understand and document new requests
- Working with applicable software vendors to spec out new features, taking the request from idea to high level estimation and detailed estimation
- 6+ years of professional experience
- Balance a big-picture mindset with extreme attention to detail
- Roadmap tool experience (ProductPlan, PowerPoint, SmartSheet)
- Ability to influence and drive decision making
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff
- Command of Excel, PowerPoint
- 4 Year Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
