Apex Systems is seeking a Network Technician to work remotely for an amazing company that is growing fast! The Network Technician will be responsible for the delivery of network services provided by teams directly supporting the client managed network services. As such, the candidate will be supported by a talented cast of technical managers and engineering staff. Additionally, the technician will be supported by a project management office, network operations center, strategy and architecture, network monitoring, tools, reporting, asset management and billing support teams who are dedicated to the account.

Location: Anaheim, CA - remote position, will only have to show up on-site for special occasions

Day-to-Day:
  • General maintenance tasks
  • Configuration changes
  • Routing aspects; BGP, EISPF, WAN/LAN
  • Cabling, fiber, copper
  • UPS work
  • Handle the network support
  • Cabling, rack and stack, instillations, etc.
  • Basic routing and switching BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • Network changes

Certifications/Experience:
  • 3+ years network support experience (field work, maintenance, support)
  • Exposure/experience with BGP ISIS and OSPF
  • Strong LAN experience, WAN exposure
  • Network cabling
  • Positive attitude
  • At least one certification (CCNA, Juniper, Aruba)
