If you're a match, please apply or contact Project: To provide backup support for an Oracle environments, cloning, maintenance and configuration of several monitoring tools, and help support/upgrade an Oracle E-business Suite installation; production support, trouble shooting, optimization. 8-10+ years of experience is required.Duties: A database administrator is needed to play a key role delivering hands-on implementation of database in Amazon Web Services, including EC2 and RDS solutions. The position ensures that the AWS Databases are deployed and maintained using enterprise architectural standards. This position will support multiple applications, projects and migration efforts as part of a database engineering team.Qualifications: This role is a hands-on technical position supporting Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and RedShift running on AWS. The candidate will assist application and operations teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and development thru testing and go-live. The position will monitor and manage AWS databases and address any issues which are platform specific. The job requires the skillset to troubleshoot and investigate all database outages, coordinate incident recovery and problem resolution activities with AWS support.
- There is a requirement for good written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with developers and managers alike.
- The person needs to understand and document technical architectures, toolsets and best practices.
- The role requires strong problem solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions quickly.
- Good organizational and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced setting will also be needed.
- Experience in large financial institution is a plus.
- Candidate should be familiar with Agile Project Development Methodologies.
- The position will be based out of the Tempe, Arizona.
