As a Senior Control Engineer, you will join an engineering team that consists of automation, control, electrical, and mechanical engineering disciplines. You will be responsible for assisting in the design, build, improvement, and maintenance of state-of-the-art control systems for automated process control as well as robotic applications. The direction of the control engineering department is to advance our current systems to a world-class level while bringing added benefit to the organization. We strive to push the envelope of capability and to develop cutting-edge technology. You will be accountable for meeting daily and weekly engineering goals, while also meeting quality, accuracy, and safety objectives. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required as needed.

Job Details

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Able to apply project management principles to lead and manage capital projects and process improvement initiatives related to control engineering.
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to design and commission state-of-the-art industrial control systems and robotic applications.
  • Subject matter expert and technical support of industrial control systems:
o PLC - Allen Bradley, Point IO, Omron, Schneider Electrico HMI - Ignition, FactoryTalko Programming - Structured Text, Python, Ladder Logico Robotics - FANUC Delta, FANUC LR Mateo Automation Network - Stratix switches, VMs, VLAN routing, ethernet, deviceneto Database - SQL Server, PI Systemo VFD - PowerFlex, Danfosso Process Equipment - Scales, Baggers, Checkweighers, Fillers, Optical Sorters, etc.
  • Review accuracy and approve one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, proficient knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ISA, NEMA and IEC standards and regulations.
  • Perform root cause analysis, able to analyze and problem solve.
  • Can prioritize work load effectively to support company needs.
  • Uphold quality standards.
  • Adhere to attendance policy, punctual.
  • Promote company values and world-class culture.
  • Capable of working in a team environment, open to training, positive attitude with high expectations of oneself; result oriented with a sense of urgency when needed.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and creative.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related focus.
  • 10+ years of Control Engineering experience.
  • 2+ applicable certifications (Rockwell Automation, FANUC, NFPA, UL etc.).
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation products.
  • Trained and mentored direct reports in a previous supervisory role.
  • Ability to comprehend, read, write, and communicate proficiently in English.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering related field.
  • Certified Project Management Professional or Lean Six Black Belt.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Food and Beverage background.
