BSA experience must have experience turning ideas into testable requirements Database experience must be able to write SQL statements, do data profiling, write mapping documents for ETL (dev background is helpful, but not required) Agile experience must have BSA experience in Agile and/or SAFe projects SDLC exposure must have SDLC experience (i.e. someone that only worked on SharePoint or other COTS package configs won't be successful in this role) Communications good communication skills are required for this role, must be able to drive a discussion with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Description Summary The Business Systems Analyst Sr. should have strong facilitation and communication expertise to work with cross functional project teams to help the business achieve their objectives by evaluating and designing functional solutions to articulated business challenges and opportunities that are in compliance with architectural standards. The key roles the Systems Analyst Sr. will be working closely with include business analysts, business relationship managers and enterprise architects to fully understand the business needs. In addition, working with developers, tech leads, quality assurance team members, business system users and owners to determine solutions while taking into consideration performance, scalability, and availability with realistic estimates and implementation schedules. Assist all business partners, business analysts, business relationship managers to analyze changes in requirements and provide solutions for enhancements to all applications. Use a combination of process modeling, data modeling, information engineering and sampling to ensure concise and comprehensive requirements. Define best fit implementation methodology based on best practices. Maintain working knowledge of current state software development tools and methods, software testing methodologies, and research emerging trends in application product development space. Mentoring Junior System Analysts, QA, Entry level Developers and others on the project team. Work with all stakeholders being impacted by business system and/or business process changes, where applicable, to ensure all changes are managed back into the business in a way that minimizes impact to the customer. In the spirit of continuous improvement, challenge the status quo and challenge others to rethink current processes, structures, policies, methodologies, and assumptions related to role of System Analyst. Requirements: Expertise writing functional, non-functional and data requirements for software projects or complete applications and programs. Demonstrated understanding of SDLC methodologies. Understanding of Deployment and Installation Software. Strong logical and reasoning abilities. Data mining, analysis and mapping. Demonstrated ability to promote and participate in business process documentations. Able to identify and suggest potential integrations to enable business process automation. Capable of investigating and quickly understanding the capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across a business area. Healthcare industry knowledge. Office environment Strong Technical SA background Experience working in agile environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills Needs to have large enterprise experience Day to day: - Defining stories once the PO has created them
- Define technical requirements, Mapping documents
- Experience in JIRA and other tools - Mandatory
- Relay technical requirements to the developers
- Create complex data flows .
- Coordinate with cross functional teams (business and technical side)
- Diagram process flows .
- Review Test artifacts
- High level UAT testing

Requires a basic understanding of testing/product quality processes, tools and methods and an understanding or organizational impacts and trade-offs of quality processes. Understanding of Native development and Java are preferred Knowledge of Rational Tools, project management experience and training in facilitation preferred. Knowledge of a variety of technologies and/or the ability to understand technology dependencies and manage technology integration required Experience working within health insurance industry. Experience/exposure in JIRA & Confluence Experience/exposure in Agile & SAFe Experience/exposure with APIs Experience/exposure in Postman Zeplin Experience is a plus Requirements: BA/BS degree or technical institute training or equivalent work experience Must be familiar with AI world & Agile. Strong effective communication skills, both written and verbal 3+ years of hands on BSA experience Experience with Java is an asset. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
