We currently have a contract position for a QA Manager / Training Manager in Bakersfield, CA.Open to remote candidates. Will be working in Pacific Time Zone. Job OverviewWe are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic QA and Training Manager. The incumbent will oversee the quality assurance and training, reporting to the Project Director.

Position Summary
  • Manage an effective quality assurance and quality control program that plans for, identifies, monitors, and resolves issues.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements.
  • Oversee the generation of analytical and trend reports for presentation to project management.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the Policies and Procedures Manual and related training resources are updated in a synchronized manner.
  • Oversee the staff and subcontractor personnel training program and evaluate effectiveness, adjusting and modifying training according to project needs.

Must Have
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Three to five years supervisory experience, preferably in a health or social services field
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, process and performance improvement methodologies, industry quality standards and auditing processes, process mapping, knowledge management systems, training tools, research and analytical skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Quality Assurance
  • Manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations including planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting functions.
  • Manage internal and external customer expectations related to quality management, and effectively communicate corporate quality standards across the project.
  • Support and improve the Quality Program and provide the leadership and direction to enhance accepted standards of quality practices, continuous improvement and ethical considerations.
  • Aggregate and analyze quality data and identify opportunities for improvement in product and service quality, and the design and implementation of key business and quality processes.
  • Maintain responsibility for developing, implementing and writing procedures, work instructions and flow-charts for QA and QC activities and monitoring compliance with contractual agreements.
Training
  • Design, develop and implement training curriculum and supporting materials.
  • Develop training schedules based on the evaluation of the need for new staff.
  • Develop and deliver training through input and communication with stakeholders
  • Ensure that stakeholders are provided with updated knowledge required for the project, which includes management of changes to scope and direction.
  • Communicate operating policies and procedures and ensure compliance with contractual agreement.
  • Arrange staff training on a regular and ongoing basis regarding protocols and project information obtained through quality assurance monitoring.
