job descriptionProduction SupervisorProduction SupervisorPosition SummarySupePrimary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the day to day activities in production and supervision of the staff involved in manufacturing product efficiently and of the highest quality to meet our customers' expectations. Trvises and coordinates production employees in the fabrication and processing of sheet metal components.Ensure production meets the established schedule and shipments can be made accurately and on-time.Pay-$65k-$75k 2nd shift 1pm-11pmResponsibilities:Coordinate all phases of the department's operation to ensure that materials produced meet the customer's required specifications and established company standards.Plan and expedite the operations of the department in order to meet production schedules and make the most efficient use of available personnel and equipment.Utilize a work scheduling system that responds to priorities and daily requirements in the department. Refine systems to provide a "look ahead" capability to streamline throughput and resolve chronic obstacles or delays.Review, analyze, interpret and evaluate production and inspection reports, and recommend corrective action as necessary.Exercise the usual authority of a Supervisor in relation to hiring, training, counseling, employee relations, performance evaluation, promotions, terminations, etc.Initiate cross-training and initial training programs that encompass all aspects of the department's operations to expand and improve coverage and personnel qualifications.Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety requirementsWork with manufacturing engineer on Bill of materials and pattern creation.Identifies continuous improvement opportunities which drive process improvement and cost reduction through out the manufacturing process.Monitors Inventory accuracy daily, supports inventories of raw materials and manufactured items, transacts daily production entries.Working hours: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PMSkills:Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
