MARINE DEPOT MAINTENANCE COMMAND, BARSTOW, CA.This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and

Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint

qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive

You will overhaul, repair, modify, troubleshoot, adjust,

install, test, inspect, fabricate and maintain complex

electronic equipment and/or complete electronic systems.

You will determine work sequences of repair projects.

You will review and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical

manuals and wiring diagrams when performing repair and related

duties.

You will determine feasibility and cost effectiveness of making

needed repairs.

You will independently service various complex electrical

devices, equipment and components.

You will set up and operate computer-controlled automatic test

equipment to run established and new diagnostic programs in

various operational and functional test modes to perform pretest

or final checkout of the electrical/electronic systems.

certification.

You will be required to obtain and maintain a current ESI

certification.

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment

This position may require travel from normal duty station.

You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain

a government credit card for travel and travel-related

purchases.

You may be required to work in confined or high places.

safety shoes as working conditions dictate.
