- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (Electrical/Electronic, Telecommunications, Automotive, Information Technologies) or equivalent required.
- Master’s degree in engineering or Science (Electrical/Electronic, Telecommunications, Automotive, Information Technologies) or equivalent considered an asset
- 3-4 years working experience with development teams, preferably in telecommunications, telematics or online services projects for an Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier.
- Experience with Product validation lifecycles, product development processes, deliverables, and milestones. Integration and testing of Telematics and Vehicle Systems.
- Communication protocols knowledge: CAN, MOST, Ethernet, FlexRay, VoLTE, Bluetooth, etc.
- Backend cloud infrastructure, mobile networks (SMS wake up, eCall/pCall, extended data set, Minimum data set, etc.)
- Understanding of user requirements in an environment.
- A great attitude and proven ability to be an effective business partner, team player, and collaborator.
- ECU coding via diagnostic tools.
- Able to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, time-line and target oriented work environment.
- Team player with good collaboration and integration skills - joining people, processes and systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English - presentation, written and interpersonal (will constantly communicate with internal partners, stakeholders, and project affiliates).
- Proven success in active engagement in process improvements

- Proven track record in interpret technical specifications.
- Ability to successfully develop and test multiple functions for embedded vehicle products.
- Give clear and unbiased assessment of project status and needs to partners, stakeholders and management.
- Planning, coordination and execution of laboratory and in-vehicle testing and validation of Telematics systems.
- Create and update test specifications and plans for laboratory and in-vehicle testing with focus on North American market specifications.
- Use state-of-the art testing and logging equipment to document errors found during testing sessions
- Cluster and categorize error patterns
- Derive reproducibility of system malfunction
- Pre-analyze system behavior and perform root-cause analysis
- Execute error and bug-fix verification.
- Prepare regular test status reports to communicate test and validation results to customers and VW Group partners using standardized systems for error reporting.
- Establish and maintain an error-reporting database, cross-link objective quality results to other US specific test databases.
- Update and maintain test setups (test-benches, in-vehicle systems, test equipment, etc.)
- Prepare vehicles for test drives.
- Build-up, package, and integrate new prototype components into cars.
