We explore, produce and transport crude oil and natural gas; refine, market and distribute fuels and other energy products; manufacture and sell petrochemical products; generate power; and develop future energy resources.Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Company Owned Company Operated (COCO) Business Consultant located in [[filter5]] , [[filter4]] through September 6, 2019 at 11:59 (Eastern Standard Time).Requisition ID#[[id]]Overview:Chevron is seeking an enthusiastic leader with attention to detail who can oversee the operations of 12-15 retail gas and convenience stores in East Los Angeles county.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Actively manages company operated stores in a designated area.

Coordinates the implementation of merchandising programs, image enhancements and customer service programs.

Insures proper execution of merchandising plan including promotions, in-store merchandising, point of purchase materials, and analysis of promotional results.

Accountable for operating expense, stock/cash loss results and ensuring controls are in place to avert losses.

Supervises, directs and coaches Store Managers on all operational issues including safety, security, regulatory compliance, sales, operations, labor scheduling process, safe food handling and quality control.

Assists in the development of performance objectives and administers the company's performance management process for direct reports.

Must be available 24 hours a day to respond to station incidents and emergencies.

Maintains ongoing relationship and integration with other functional teams (i.e. Retail Marketing, Field Merchandising, Price book, Retail Marketing Center, Environmental, Safety & Health, back office system Help Desk, etc.).

Frequent driving to assigned sites and meetings and some overnight travel is possible.

Must be available to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

A minimum of 5 years of work experience in convenience store and/or retail management, or merchandising

Able to manage a large group of employees and special projects.

Able to manage change effectively. Proactively and creatively meet new challenges and enhance business profitability.

Ability to foster a spirit of teamwork from inside and outside the assigned work groups. Accomplishes goals through positive business relationships.

Ability to quickly and completely analyze a problem, evaluate the possible options and determine/implement appropriate actions.

Demonstrate the ability and willingness to hold team members accountable.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Actively manages employees, recognized as an effective coach and an outstanding supervisor.

Ability to execute, modify and implement business and strategic plans.

Ability to analyze sales trends, financial performance, market dynamics and industry trends to improve profitability of zone.

Ability to use/learn SAP. Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to monitor and communicate business results.

Overall knowledge of retail store operations and merchandising.
