In this role, you will be responsible for layup, bagging, trimming machining and disassembly/assembly with adhesives and/or fasteners, supporting a critical role in companywide production. To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of two years of experience in assembly/production, specifically in composites.Detooler Job duties: Use a variety of tools and precision measuring instruments. E.g. electric drill, drill bed, band saw, table saw, lathe, mill, a variety of air tools (grinder, router and drill), micrometer, measuring tape, scales, measuring ruler, able to operate overhead crane Able to develop the process to fit, align, calibrate and adjust parts and mechanical units to meet specifications and requirements using the variety of tools mentioned above Able to lay up laminates or prototype composite parts, prepare vacuum bags, detool, trimming, cutting, preparing bonding surfaces, bonding assembly and mechanical assembly Able to fabricate a variety of tooling as needed which includes machining fixtures, assembly fixtures, layup tools and test fixturesQualifications: Minimum of two years of experience in production assembly or related experience Minimum of two years of hands on composite experience Minimum of two years Manufacturing Development Technician with First Article and Prototyping experience on details and assembliesIf you are interested in this Detooler job in Brea, CA., please apply via the “apply now” link provided.Belcan is a global supplier of engineering, technical recruiting, and IT services to customers in the aerospace, industrial, and government sectors.
